wow blanka is looking cool are you going to make his electric attack and if you are is it going to be compatable with all the character who have the proper state

havent had a chance to work on a tutorial yet, been very busy lately just bought a home gym Very Happy

why do they make us assemble it?!!!! it comes in like 1,000,000,000(slight exaduration Razz)


yes i will bemaking the electricity attack, and not sure about the required state for it, i mean yea it looks cool seeing their skeleton flashing like they have been electrocuted, but it looks all to cartoony, and this blanka is more viscious Very Happy not saying i wont, just not sure.

at the mo i have a good effect when they get electrocuted, ive used SinAdd and like a white/grey pulsing effect, with inverted colours, looks cool. ill post a pic soon.

SinAdd is like a pulsing effect or you can make it flash, basically you can use it when using palFX
say you want p2 to have an "on fire" kinda look when hit, you can use sin add to make him flash with it, and invert the colours, it looks kinda cool. used alot in KOF

heres an example obviously your colours may differ, this is for p1 for p2 you need to add different code into the hitdef if it does this when they get hit.

[State 2000, PalFXWiz]
type = PalFX

sinadd = 70,70,70,8
invertall = 0

for hitdef coding

palfx.add = 0,0,0

prob not the colours you want but this flashes from dark black to like a light green highlight, try adding it to statedef 200 hitdef just to see what it looks like then hit opponent,

cannonball added 3 strengths + EX version
Electricity added 3 strengths, unsure wether to make an EX version.
win poses added, will have pics soon.

here is an old pic of the electric attack i made, then after youll see the new hi-res version.



;obv trans is added in game. and i dont like the way FF removes the background when making a .gif because it makes them look poor lol.(not including character sprites.)

thanks guys, i did the electricity in photoshop. using radial blur and wave distort. making images greyscale first.

i have some real good moves lined up for him soon, clinging to the wall and jumping off with a cannonball attack, never been done with blanka b4 Smile

also an original hyper move, his bite throw, going ridiculously crazy, blood sprites will be used, then a final bite will be a nice shower of blood lol Smile


things take time tho but thats what i got lined up next.

ok so heres the update on blanka, now added wall hug ability, and cannonball from wall hug...

i changed the animation slightly for the wall hug move(jumping part) not because it was easier to code, not atall.....because this one worked better with how it looked.

so here is the wall hug move(name not confirmed yet)













ok now the cannonball off of the wall.(these pics are just the launching and missing animations)





now same move again but hitting



after hit, retreating up/backwards like a normal cannonball would, then coming back down.(you dont need to see landing frame its the same as the miss picture)

a fair way off yet, but making good progress, he will have3 powered versions of the wall cannonball, like light wont cover as much distance and damage medium, then hard is self explanitory.

im looking forward to coding his super move from the wall, gonna be a totally originall move Smile

lol off topic, i really hate street fighter 2 blanka sprites, they are awful.

(point i was making, i was orignally gonna do a sf2 blanka, but his moves were limited)

im really pleased with his wall grab move it works really well with no bugs found.........so far Razz

just got one more special to do, which is the vertical cannonball, well kinda diagonal up.(up/right)

then i may work on his new super fist, before his existing supers.

new super = hyper bite Razz
