I used scale 2X to make the sprites bigger it's only around 15% done i have to make the jump and crouch attack sprites myself so it may take a while

lol thanks goes to black chaos for teaching me about vel sets his little combo at the end was basically me testing the velsets

Looks really interesting, good luck with your work Josh.
Hey just don't make some dumb palettes like usualy some authors make, you could make only light & dark palette, this is just my opinion it's up to you what you gonna do with your creation. Try out Warner's Kenshin you might get some inspiration

very nice effort so far, is this your first character wip?

well done in successfully using velset.


remember just a tip: if you want to stop velocity use velset again setting X and Y to 0
but thts only if you need to.


Things to note:
the ground.velocities on the basics attacks are a little small, certain attacks like medium and hard should knock the opponent back slightly more, look in the hitdef for ground.slidetime, ground.velocity(knock opp bck)....

no ive had other characters but this is the first time i have used a template with nothing but walk, crouch, jump, and get hit states. oh thats exactly what i did with the velsets thats how he stop in mid air at the end
