How to use Helpers for other things(projectiles)?

Ok, opening up other characters constants and stuff i noticed that those characters use helpers for like everything, even projectiles and explosions, so i will like to know if anyone knows how to use helpers for projectiles or just u know explosions and stuff to make the character look cool, or u know fire goin around them and stuff.......I just realized Helpers are really important!!!!!
